What should I bring to my appointment?
There are a few different documents/information you need to bring with you. The following items are required by the Marketplace to create an account, verify your identity, estimate your income, and see how much financial assistance you qualify for:
Previous year's Marketplace enrollment information.
Estimate of what your household income will be this year.
Mailing address for everyone applying for coverage.
Do You Qualify?
Open enrollment is the yearly period where you and your family can enroll in quality, affordable health coverage. The next Open Enrollment Period begins on November 1, 2022, but you may be eligible to enroll through a Special Enrollment Period if you’ve had a qualifying life event. If you missed the open enrollment period or wish to change your current Marketplace plan outside of open enrollment, you may be able to do so through a Special Enrollment Period.

MEDICAID / CHIP
Being denied Medicaid or CHIP may
qualify you for coverage outside of
Depending on your income and family size, you or your family members may qualify for government-supplied healthcare, such asMedicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). If you do qualify for Medicaid, there is no limited-enrollment period, meaning you can enroll at any time. Once you have Medicaid, you are considered covered and do not have to purchase healthcare through the Marketplace.
In Florida, Medicaid eligibility is based in part on your family’s income and resources. While final eligibility is still determined by your local DSS office, Navigators can assist with an online ePass application to help with the eligibility process.
